Activities
Besides boating, dining, parties and special events, MIYC offers a wide variety of weekly or monthly activity groups that Members can participate in. It’s a terrific way to get to know other Members and increase friendships.
Aquafit
Keep yourself fit by enjoying a regular water aerobics routine. This low-impact activity takes the pressure off your bones, joints and muscles while strengthening and building muscle.
Book Club
Read an engaging book, then enjoy a delicious book-themed lunch and discussion with other Members. A presentation during the salad course enhances your experience of the book and author.
Bridge
Nothing keeps the brain sharp like a weekly game of bridge. Members enjoy a lovely lunch then move to card tables for one of the most popular and stimulating card games ever devised. Beginners to bridge are welcome as well.
Couples Bridge
Couples Bridge is once a month with play starting in later afternoon, followed by cocktails and dinner at 7:00pm. You can play with your significant other or partner up with a friend. It’s “no pressure” bridge, just a fun evening for all.
Canasta
Join a fun-loving group of ladies for a very social game of canasta, followed by a delicious lunch. The conversation is as spirited as the game. There’s always lots of laughs.
Fishing Club
Anglers gather monthly for fish stories over lunch, but most important, get out on the water a couple of times each month to catch those big ones.
Golf
Twilight Golf is a friendly 9-hole scramble played once a month and you can sign up as a single or a couple. Golf is followed by dinner at the Club where the great camaraderie and fun just keep on going! We also take part in weekly “Men’s Golf” in connection with the Marco Men’s Club.
Mah Jongg
The Mah Jongg group meets every week for stimulating yet “no pressure” game playing. Newbies as well as experienced players are welcome to join this terrific group of ladies.
