Social Events at MIYC
The social calendar at MIYC is outstanding! At our October ‘Monster Mash” there were parades, prizes, and cob webs creating a memorable Halloween bash.
Our holiday parties are unrivaled and include an Ugly Holiday Sweater contest, the Christmas Boat Parade, a fabulous Christmas Eve dinner and an elegant New Year’s Eve Gala.
Every January, The Commodore’s Ball is the event celeb and is always exceptional.
Our Mardi Gras extravaganza with costumes, King Cakes, feathers and beads make it a party to remember.
You can also play bridge, canasta or mah jongg, do water aerobics, join the Book Club, join the golf group, enjoy Game Night, attend a cooking class from Chef Bob, learn fascinating facts about the area at educational programs --- all in addition to the wonderful boating activities like sunset cruises, luncheon cruises and overnight cruises that are part of the boating program for Full Members!
There’s nothing like a MIYC Event.
Our “Hooray for Hollywood” gala last year was a great example of our unique, fun-filled events. Guests were bedecked in tinsel-town garb and were immediately targeted by paparazzi and photographers as they exited their cars. Oscars were bestowed that evening and singers and dancers graced the stage. The Harbour Room was ablaze with candles, while entertainer Wendy Renee kept up the heat on the dance floor. It was a night to remember.
Good news for year around residents--we have great events all through the summer, as well! Come Season or summer, there are always plenty of events to choose from at the Marco Island Yacht Club.
